Basic Function / General Description: • As the electrical manager of the largest design center in OTIS, the primary responsibility of this position is to manage the elevator system team on o Electrical system architecture. o Grow up the talent of the team members o Leading the team to achieve the company goal. Duties, Responsibilities & Authorities: As an electrical manager of the electrical system team, the successful candidate will be responsible for: • Managing the electrical system team with 7 electrical system architecture engineers. • Leading the electrical system design solution by digesting the customer requirement. • Provide technical leadership on electrical system design and grow up the engineer capability on the system architecture design with systematic mindset. • Making decisions decisively under uncertainty with a long-term perspective, communicating and defending choices clearly, and developing both personal and team capability in sound judgment. • Problem solving by analyzing risks and alternatives, developing effective solutions, capturing learning and leading team to proactively address complex challenges. • Communicate effectively to influent the stakeholders and coordinate the across different functions, develop both personal and team effectiveness in conveying ideas. • Accurately estimating the resource and program timelines, prioritizing critical tasks, managing interdependencies, adapting to changes with contingency plans, and leading teams to deliver objectives amid uncertainty and competing demands. Accountability & measures: • Job performance will be measured in accordance with the completion of product developments, product quality, product cost, customer satisfaction and talent developments Work experience & skills requirements: • Experience: o Minimum 5 years of design/review experience on complex electrical systems development or equivalent from academia. The master’s degree or experience in elevator industry is preferred. o Minimum 2 years of experience managing an R&D team. The manager’s experience in a global company is preferred. • Language: o Good English communication skills for speaking, reading and writing. • Computer Skills: o Microsoft office tool set • Other Key Competencies: o Familiar with the electrical qualification and verification. o Sense of ownership and responsibility, result oriented o Well multi-task management. o Creative, open-minded, smart and energetic o Quick response/adjustment under the dynamic environment. o Logical thinking and proactive o Resilience that can work under stress. • Other Preferred Experiences: o Electrical circuit design, Component selection, qualification, EMI/EMC related working experience. o Experience in VF Application o Familiar with the Safety Certification by TUV/CSA. o PESSRAL or functional safety system develop/review experience in the industry o ECAD tool for wiring diagram (E3 or Eplan is preferred) Educational Requirements • Education: Bachelor or above in Automation or Electrical Engineering
